Abstract:

The article analyzes the semantic transformations of the keywords in a literary text on the material of modern Russian prose, and highlights the main features of the keywords. The material for the analysis is the works of K. Burzhskaya, E. Vodolazkin, A. Volos, V. Pelevin, D. Rubina, R. Senchin, O. Slavnikova, M. Stepnova, E. Fetisov, M. Shishkin, G. Yakhina. There are three types of keyword transformations that are characteristic of modern prose: 1) metaphorization of a lexical unit, 2) its inclusion as an object of comparison in comparative constructions that give various fi gurative characteristics of the corresponding denotation; 3) successive correlation of one lexical unit with diff erent denotations in the space of the text outside of metaphorization and realization on this basis of various contextual meanings. Particular attention is paid to the functioning of keywords in the position of the title. The use of keywords in the implementation of the intertextual links of the work is noted. It is shown that not only individual words, but also phrases and whole statements can be subjected to semantic transformation in a literary
text.
