Abstract:

The published Akathist to St. Paulinus of Nola is introduced into the scientifi c circulation of linguistics for the fi rst time. This work, written by the Hieromartyr Pyotr Grigoriev (1895†1937) around 1921–1926, is an important example of liturgical creativity in modern Church Slavonic. The preserved typewritten copy of the Akathist was published in 1980 with numerous errors and the selectively corrected electronic version  appeared in 2014. The article presents a new version of this Akathist, corrected systematically, accentuated and provided with comments. The Church Slavonic text is printed in civil typeface according to the rules of transliteration used in publications before the spelling reform of 1918. Comments contain correctable forms, acceptable Rusisms and links to the most important sources of the text.
