GRIGOR’EV DIRECTORY: TO FURTHER WORK OVER “DICTIONARY OF LANGUAGE OF THE XX CENTURY RUSSIAN POETRY”

Article is devoted to the last lexicographic project of V.P. Grigor’ev — to “Dictionary of Language of the XX Century Russian Poetry”. Against a background history of creation of the Dictionary, its genre characteristic is given as a complete consolidated (on 10 poets) concordance of the commenting type with accurately thought-out over ratio of text material and of comments of the different contents. The main features of the organization of an entry are considered. There are a chronological ranging of examples in obligatory “zone of contexts”, which is allowing to build history of each separate word; a filling of facultative “meaning zone” with data on peculiarities of each lexeme semantics, of the stylistic accent of lexemes, etc., about variant connections with other units of the Dictionary. Entries from different volumes of the edition are used as illustrations. It is noted also, that already at an initial plan of the Dictionary there was an idea of its improvement, therefore work on the project is development and specification of the different parts of its concept today. Thus, the information on phraseological manifestations of the word was embedded into the last of the published volumes, by means of a special mark. Material of the description and interests of the user of the Dictionary prompted expediency of such step (for example, it is important to explain to modern reader that the combination of words ‘not to put okhulka on a hand’, which is found in article Okhulka ‘abuse’, means ‘not to miss the benefit’). The article also discusses the experience of use of the Dictionary data in other lexicographic projects and in various linguistic researches.
