SEMANTIC TRANSFORMATIONS OF EMOTION DESIGNATIONS IN THE POETRY OF M. KUZMIN
Abstract:
The paper describes ways of implementing the system of names of emotional states in the poetic works by Mikhail Kuzmin. Emotive vocabulary captures a person’s attitude to life’s vicissitudes. An emotional response is received by events connected, fi rst of all, with situations of falling in love, and all the elements of this plot: meeting, waiting, parting, which cause the lyrical hero to feel sadness, joy. Emotional situations can also include creative processes (for example, the creation of a work of art). The immediate contextual environment of such names as sadness, grief, joy, happiness made it possible to identify the following trends in their use: the boundaries of the names of emotions are permeable, the meaning of such words is contextually determined, we can talk about diff use meaning, the same event can cause directly opposite emotions. Not all emotional experiences have a linguistic expression. A storm of emotions results in a meager trickle of names.
