YAKOV KARLOVICH GROT AND THE PRESENT

Orthographist’s work has two aspects: revision of the facts that have long existed in a given language and introduction of new words into the language. Grot worked in both of these areas. The proposed article is concerned primarily with the latter — introduction of new words into the Russian language.
