The article touches upon the issue of creating on the basis of a web site http://verse-study.ru a web portal for verse study research which is planned to possess advanced functionality.

Moreover, the authors describe the current stage of development of such web portal. They discuss those difficulties and problems that may and have already occurred in the process of its creation.

Much attention is paid to the structure of bibliographical database. Its main entity is the publication which has several varieties: monograph, collection, article in a magazine or collection.
