The Logic of Icon Veneration in the Period of Second Iconoclasm

Victor M. Zhivov’s patrological studies were focused on their major topic, the theology of the defenders of holy icons during the second iconoclastic crisis. In particular, a significant progress was achieved by him in understanding of the logical paradox on which this theology was founded. In the present paper this paradox is treated within a framework of paraconsistent logics.
