THE OLD BELIEVERS ON THE PRESERVATION OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE IN SOUTH AMERICA
2017. № 2 (12), 379-388
Abstract:
Published texts were recorded during the expeditions to Old Believer communities of Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia (2006–2014). Believers talk about what measures they are taking to preserve the native language in the conditions of life in foreign countries. The texts are in the orthography script. Phonetic and morphological peculiarities of two dialects are transmitted; the incomprehensible out of context meanings of words are disclosed in footnotes.
