CLASSIFICATION OF THE LEXICO-SEMANTIC SPACE OF “THE PLANT AND ANIMAL WORLD”, BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF THE POETIC WORKS OF ANDREI BELY

The study of methods and techniques for interpreting the author’s world image, embodied in the writer’s word, is one of the problems of modern text linguistics. In this regard, the analysis of the words used by the author, denoting the realities of the plant and animal world, the study of thematic categories of phytonyms and zoonyms is especially important. The works of Andrei Bely are distinguished by richness of the vocabulary of flora and fauna, which largely creates the specifi city of the writer’s stylistic handwriting. His texts refl ect associative pictures of nature, in which the author himself occupies a special place. In studies on the work of A. Bely, in modern culturological and linguoculturological works, the plant and animal world recreated by the writer did not receive sufficient coverage. In this article, based on the material of A. Bely’s poetry, the lexemes of the thematic block “fl ora” and “fauna” are considered, the composition of the thematic groups of this vocabulary, their frequency are determined, the lexico-semantic features of the analyzed units are described and their role in the representation of the individual author’s worldview of Andrei Bely is revealed.
