Abstract:

The article describes the multimodal poetic corpus as a new tool for studying the sounding poetic texts. The tradition of scientifi c research of the sounding poetic word in Russia begins since the fi rst decades of the 20th century; the main research approaches are given in the article. The corpus contains samples of poetry recited by authors, professional actors and non-professional performers. It is designed not only for studying the main features of sound poetry, but also for comparing diff erent versions of performing poems. The content and structure of the corpus, methods of selecting and organizing the material are analyzed in the article, as well as prospects of its usage. The corpus allows users to compare written poetry with its recitations, as well as diff erent interpretations of poems, which gives researchers the possibility to study phonetic and prosodic features of sound poetry, poetic syntax, semantics, etc.
