Abstract:

Corpora have not yet become an everyday tool of a Russian language teacher in Russia. My goal is to demonstrate a wide range of usage-based approaches which can be applied in the teaching of L1 to children. I present the benefits of exploiting Russian National Corpus as a valuable pedagogical resource, as well as obstacles which can be caused by using data-based teaching methods.
