«VOLGOGRAD IS A SPECIAL CITY FOR ME...»: REMEMBERING MEETINGS WITH LEONID LEONIDOVICH KASATKIN

The article is a collection of colleagues’ recollections of their meetings with Professor L. L. Kasatkin during his stay at Volgograd State University. Kasatkin’s repeated visits to Volgograd were related to his dialectological expeditions (late 1990s and early 2000s) aimed at studying the South Russian dialect, including the typological characteristics of the Don dialects, as well as his participation in scientific events dedicated to the memory of Academician V. I. Borkovsky, whose library is preserved at Volgograd State University.
