Abstract:
The article outlines the perspectives of using artistic text in artistic and cultural education as a basic tool in creative communication. It brings closer the historical influence of ancient poetry and theatre on its vocal interpretation and the development of the culture of the living word and the training of ancient actors in Greece and Rome. The paper un derlines the role of tradition, which should accompany contemporary teaching of rhetoric of artistic text and determines the role of C. K. Norwid’s poetry in the process of building literary and linguistic awareness. His poem is presented as a model of artistic use of Polish linguistic heritage in order to achieve not only an artistic effect: the poem serves as a philosophical treatise, speaking about the relationship of man to his linguistic, cultural and civilizational achievements. It also defines the role of the word in building the cultural, national and civilizational identity of man. The article indicates the contemporary needs of continuous education in the ability to work with artistic texts, the culture of the living word. The most important factor shaping artistic and cultural awareness is the active participation of children and young people in culture and preparing them to perceive old and modern works of art. This preparation is necessary to determine the linguistic condition of an individual in creative communication, which will have a huge impact on their later participation in the cultural and artistic life of the entire society. The artists themselves, participating in lessons and lectures both in schools and at universities that are not art schools, are important elements of this process. Their active participation al lows for a better and deeper integration of literature with other arts and understanding their mutual dependencies.
