“NAME OF SITUATION” AS A SPECIAL TYPE OF NOMINATIONS IN RR AND PROBLEMS OF THEIR VOCABULARY DESCRIPTION

Nominations associated with diff erent kinds of typical situations of casual informal communication form an important part of everyday speech practices of speakers of colloquial speech. A special group of syncretic names of typical situations is called “situation name”. The semantic peculiarity of such names consists in the fact that they are not a nomination of any person, object, property, action, etc., but “draw in” the whole situational context. A striking property of nominative names is their unusual combinability due to their high consituative dependence, their “embeddedness” in the situation. In most cases, the use of such words as situation names is occasional and depends on the immediate situation. Syncretic names of typical situations that are relevant to people’severyday speech practices and understandable to them beyond immersion in specific circumstances on the principle of “here and now” deserve special attention and vocabulary representation. These are, for example, such lexemes as КАРТОШКА (Мы весь сентябрь не учились/ нас посылали на картошку), ОБЕД (Касса закрыта/ у них обед//); ДИПЛОМ (У нас сейчас занятий нет/ мы на дипломе//; — Когда у тебя диплом? — В мае//) etc. Certain difficulties are caused by the allocation of abstractevent semantics in such nominations, as well as their lexicographic interpretation. The paper considers the peculiarities of combinability of situation names in various colloquial context.
