ELECTRONIZATION OF DICTIONARY OF PUSHKIN’S LANGUAGE
Abstract:
Electronization of author dictionaries is an urgent task of modern lexicography. It allows the user to quickly fi nd the necessary information, and various search engine options provide ample opportunities for researching certain aspects of the author’s language. The article deals with the problems and prospects of electronization of the Dictionary of Pushkin’s language. In the print edition of the Dictionary, with the exception of illustrative examples, there are only ciphers of those places of Pushkin’s works in which a particular word form is used in the specifi ed meaning. The main task of the project is to create complete dictionary entries for all word forms, including, among other things, the context (with the possibility of expansion) and the name of the work in which the word form appeared. For these purposes, the digitized corpus of texts of the 16-volume collected works of A. S. Pushkin was transformed into a lemmatized concordance, where each word form is automatically assigned the address indicated with it in the printed edition of the Dictionary. The presented fi gures show how the dictionary entry will look on the form, what search engine options can be added and what advantages this version of the Dictionary has. The issues of expanding the Dictionary of Pushkin’s language by including words from those works of the writer that the authors of the Dictionary did not process, as well as proper names that are not included in the Dictionary, which are supposed to be issued in the format of a “gray zone”, are discussed.
