PRAGMATICON: THE DATABASE OF RUSSIAN DISCOURSE FORMULAE

This paper presents Pragmaticon: a database of Russian discourse formulae (cf. Da ladno! ‘≈ come on’, A kak že! ‘≈ you bet’, Tak I byt’ ‘≈ so be it’). Being idiomatic and bearing specifi c illocutionary force, these units require an adequate model for their lexicographic representation. The means of the Russian Constructicon database, designed to describe constructions of the Russian language, proved to be insuffi cient for the description of discourse formulae. The paper discusses the system of annotation, and the features of the interface that were developed for Pragmaticon. The new database is now freely accessible online and can be explored by the students of Russian as a foreign language, or any other users that are interested in spoken Russian language.
