PROJECT OF THE DICTIONARY OF COLOR TERMS OF A. BELY’S POETRY

A separate direction in the study of Andrei Bely’s work is the formation and analysis of the corpus of poetic materials, in particular, the compilation of a dictionary of the color terms of the writer’s poetic language. Traditionally, in the visible part of the spectrum, seven colors of the rainbow called as the main ones, three achromatic colors white, black, gray, as well as individual author’s connotations of color designations are distinguished. A comprehensive approach to the study of color terms using mainly lifetime editions of the writer’s poetic texts is proposed, in order to identify patterns or features in the use of color by the carrier of Russian culture. The dictionary project has a working version. The number of colorisms and statistical data may change during the research process.
