POETIC IDIOSTYLES OF THE MASTERS OF RUSSIAN VERS LIBRE
Abstract:
Russian poetry of the late XX century is used to analyze the characteristic rhythmic features of the idiostyles of the recognized masters of Russian free verse: V. Burich, V. Kupriyanov, A. Mets, G. Alekseev, as well as their followers A. Makarov-Krotkov and I. Akhmetyev. For comparison, the author analyzes the rhythmic features of free verse of the Silver Age: A. Blok, F. Sologub, M. Kuzmin, as well as poets of the late twentieth century who used free verse in their works along with other types of modern Russian versifi cation: G. Sapgir, Vs. Nekrasov, A. Dragomoshchenko. It is shown that each of the authors shows in their work individual preferences in the fi eld of such parameters as the length of the poetic text, the syllabic length of the line, the choice of specifi c types of strophic composition.
