RUSSIAN DIALECTAL ADDITIONS TO PROTO-SLAVIC RECONSTRUCTIONS AND ETYMOLOGIES. VII
2017. № 2 (12), 333-337
Abstract:
The article comprises three sketches, each proposing structural and semantic aspects of Russ. dialectal words in connection with reconstructed Proto-Slavic lexical units: (1) Pskov. остегноваться ‘settle’— as evidence for primary ь in *stьgna in East Slav. dialects; (2) Perm. прорышелиться ‘take a walk’ — as supporting the semantics of swift movement for the root *ryx- in the word-family *rux- / *rъx- / ryx- ‘destroy’ in Russ.; (3) Pskov. оскорок ‘spark, spill’ — as corroboration for the origin of the formation *jьskra within the word-family *sker- ‘cut, break’.
