DATABASE “RHETORICAL AND MEDITATIVE QUESTIONS AS FIGURES OF SPEECH IN THE LYRICS OF THE 18th CENTURY”: STRUCTURE, USE, REPLENISHMENT

The article considers the problem of creation, development and subsequent revision of the database called “Rhetorical and meditative questions as figures of speech in the lyrics of the 18th century”. This database systematizes and classifi es examples of rhetorical and meditative questions as fi gures of speech found in the lyric works of this period. The article off ers a detailed structural description of the database, which includes an analysis of its components, and also provides specific examples of its use in linguistic research. In particular, the emphasis is on determining the specifics of the poetic style of various authors of the 18th century based on such parameters as the syntactic structure and functional features of rhetorical and meditative questions. The structure of the database, its key functional capabilities are described in detail, and the principles of replenishment and use of this database in the course of scientific work are considered. Particular attention is paid to how the database not only helps to systematize and analyze poetic contexts, but also acts as a tool for a deeper and more comprehensive analysis of syntactic constructions, which in turn can contribute to a better understanding of the cultural and literary context of the era.
