FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF WORKING ON THE DICTIONARY OF WINGED EXPRESSIONS OF THE DILOGY OF I. ILF AND E. PETROV
Abstract:
The article presents the results of compiling a dictionary of winged expressions of the dilogy by I. Ilf and E. Petrov (“The Twelve Chairs”, “The Golden Calf”). These novels are among the most quoted texts of the 20th century Russian literature. The fi lm versions of the novels had a signifi cant impact on the activity of quotes and images from Ilf and Petrov, and the Internet space contributes to the popularity of winged words and expressions. Specialized processing (search) makes it possible to assert the possibility of lexicographing in general about one thousand units of diff erent structure and functional status, which have become widespread and are conventionally called “winged words” in the article. The intertextual units of Ilf and Petrov can be conditionally divided into wellknown and little-known, rare, even unique. With all the diversity and certain heterogeneity of the material described in the dictionary, the development of dictionary entries, their structure is subject to the laws of full-type lexicography, taking into account the specifi cs of the “winged” language material. The article outlines the principles of compiling the dictionary and provides samples of dictionary entries.
