Abstract:

The multivolume summary “Dictionary of the language of Russian poetry (20th сentury)” (Moscow, 2001, 2003, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022) contains poetic lines of ten outstanding poets of the Silver Age: I. Annensky, A. Akhmatova, A. Blok, S. Yesenin, M. Kuzmin, O. Mandelstam, V. Mayakovsky, B. Pasternak, V. Khleb nikov, M. Tsvetaeva. The Dictionary demonstrates lexical structure of the language of Silver Age poetry — one of the most important periods in the development of Russian literature and culture. The article discusses the specifi cs of the lexicographic description of the poetic language on the example of the ninth volume. The material in this volume includes large dictionary entries on both key lexemes, and on pronouns, adverbs, function words. Of particular interest are dictionary entries that include single or few contexts, since they usually describe obsolete, stylistically distinguished, special, etc. lexemes. Such linguistic units require special attention from dictionary compilers, since there is a need to work out their adequate presentation or conduct preliminary research.
