Abstract:

The authors consistently reconstruct a fragment of E. A. Grishina’s research, which is devoted to the functioning of inter-lexical blinking in oral speech as a special “punc- tuation mark” marking the boundaries of syntactic structures. An attempt is made to reconstruct the methodology of this study and to describe it as explicitly as possible, taking into account new data, as well as to correct some misprints in [Grishina 2011, 2017] and to clarify the key concepts necessary for further study of blinks in oral com- munication.
