Abstract:

The paper deals with the potential of the accentological corpus of the Russian language for the study of naïve poetry, posted by the authors on the website stihi.ru. The rich toolkit of the corpus search allows us to trace the features of the language of naïve authors on a wide data set of more than 100 million words and to approach the reconstruction of the poetic concept behind their texts. A detailed analysis of the implementation of traditional poetic formulas in naïve poetry shows that its authors give preference to poetic innovations rather than traditional elements sanctifi ed by the tradition of canonical authors. This also manifests itself in the reproduction of poetic formulas of the Pushkin era, which are either modernized or used much less frequently than one might assume, and in the active use of reduced vocabulary, which entered the poetic culture only in the 20th century.
