Abstract:

In this article, the author attempts to formally describe the metabola as a specific method of contamination of tropes and look to the idiostyle of the informal leader of the poetic school of metarealism Alexei Parshchikov. Based on a solid sample from the book “Airships”, a list of word conversion methods is compiled that participate in the contaminating mechanism of the metabola. The importance of the mechanism of implementation of the metaphor is also noted, i.e. its literal reading, in the structure of the metabola, which is also indicated by the essays by Alexei Parshchikov. Thus, the semantics of the synthetic trope (metabola) expresses poetic, metapoetic and metalinguistic refl ection of  the poet, which is considered using the examples of the poems “Bird”, “Two make-up artists”, “Cow”, “Photographer on the fi lm set” and an excerpt from the poem “Airships (Movie Stills)”. The interaction of various methods of word transformation in the structure of the metabola creates the opportunity for the synthesis of various semantic fi elds, the expression of fantastic or mythological spaces, times, worlds. In the poetic idiostyle of Alexei Parshchikov, the metabola, which combines many types of tropes (from simple substantive metaphors to complex cumulations and parallelisms), becomes a way to detect complex relationships in multidimensional reality, its contaminating mechanism increases the visual connotations of poetic texts and also removes opposition between the corporal and the metaphysical, the natural and the technological.
