Abstract:

In this article the author argues that Scythian and Common Baltic languages were cognate and homogenous. Fifty obvious isoglosses closely connect Scythian language antiquities to the Baltic and Slavic languages. There are 3 hundred more exclusive Scythian — Baltic and  Scythian — Slavic isoglosses. One of Baltic tribes was called Budini. Their tribal economic and religious center was called Gelonus (VII–III centuries BC).
