COMPARATIVE DESCRIPTION OF THE DIALECT OF ULYAHINO VILLAGE BASED ON THE MATERIALS BY O.N. MORAHOVSKAYA AND MODERN DATA

This article describes the studies of the dialect landscape of the region of Meshchery undertaken by O.N. Morakhovskaya in the early years of her scientific activity. The study of the dialect spoken in the village of Ulyakhino manifests the expertise of the scholar, who made a very accurate description of the dialect system as of the 1940s. One of the important advantages of O.N. Morakhovskaya’s approach was her ability to include her own private observations on the dialect in the general picture. Isaev worked in this village in the 2000s and 2010s, which makes it possible to compare the data and make some conclusions about the evolution of the dialect.
