Implementation of Boris Larin’s idea to create the innovative Pskov Regional Dictionary with Historical Data by the group of scholars from Leningrad and Pskov has confirmed the correct choice of the object: abundant data, peculiarity of the dialect on various levels in the past and the present. Reasonable conclusions and use of the data from other academic disciplines result in profound thinking and even discoveries.
