IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NACHATI AND POCHATI IN PERIPHRASTIC CONSTRUCTIONS?

 The present article analyzes infinitive constructions with the verbs NACHATI and POCHATI in translated and original Old Russian texts of different genres. The main aim of the article is to show the differences between periphrastic future and periphrastic past tense in the use of these verbs, and to give a list of commonly used infinitives that can form constructions with each of these two synonymous inchoative verbs.
