RUSSIAN COMPARATIVE CONSTRUCTIONS IN THE ASPECT OF ERROR GRAMMAR

The paper considers the errors characteristic to the usage of the Russian comparative construction in the theoretical and typological perspective. The research uses the data of the Academic writing corpus and the Russian Learner Corpus containing texts of Russian as foreign language speakers. The “weak points” and “growth points” of the construction are detected. It is demonstrated that the variations and the deviations from the norm registered in the corpora and other resources are quite predictable. They simplify the Russian comparative construction into the other typologically relevant patterns.
