RUSSIAN EVERYDAY SPEECH IN ITS RELATION TO STANDARD RUSSIAN

The paper is devoted to the “Explanatory Dictionary of Russian Everyday Speech”, which is compiled in Vinogradov’s Russian Lan- guage Institute of Russian Academy. A concise outline of the Modern Russian everyday vocabulary is followed by the explication of selection principles of lexical units to be included into the Dictionary, the structure of the entry and types of information about a word distributed among 10 zones of a typical dictionary entry. In the end of the article examples of dictionary entries are given.
